Board of Review Findings Mailed On Monday, February 1, 2016, the Kane County Board of Review mailed its notices of findings for the 2015 session. Notices were mailed to all taxpayers (or their attorneys) of all properties that had decisions issued by the Board of Review. Pursuant to Illinois law, anyone wishing to appeal the decision of the Board of Review may do so within 30 days of the notice date. The appeal must be made to the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board. Disabled Veterans Standard Homestead Exemption: The application form for the Disabled Veterans Standard Homestead Exemption have been updated to reflect the increased benefits for Veterans with service-connected disabilities of 30% or greater. Property Tax Workshops: Beginning June 2, 2015 Property Tax Workshops will be held in the Auditorium of Building A of the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Avenue in Geneva. Property Tax Bills mailed: Property tax bills for the 2014 (payable 2015) year have been mailed to every property owner at the last known available address; they can also be are now available to be viewed on www.KaneCountyTreasurer.org. Owners of parcels that are located in fifteen Elgin-area and Huntley-area taxing districts will be impacted by an adjustment that has been ordered to the tax levy apportionment for the 2012 and 2013 tax years. The adjustment will affect properties in only the following taxing districts:
